Daniel, born in the Mighty Clean City-State of Singapore, was mainly raised in San Francisco with brief interruptions in Indonesia, Singapore, Spain - including frequent trips around Europe and Hawaii.

Originally slated to “Rock the World of Philosophy” at Colgate University with his desire to re-energize the Existentialist Movement, he instead turned to the Dot-Com rollercoaster lifestyle.

As he grew older his personal/academic interests grew more complex and varied but underlined some basic themes, which he carries on today:

• War Studies, particularly the application of Complex Systems/Emergence and Constructivism to Warfare
• All Things Post-Soviet and Slavic – specifically Kazakhstan and Central/Eastern European Literature

Again, Daniel was near to joining some academic program to change the world – this time a MA program in International Relations, seeking a new form of Realism that would put Kissinger to shame, along with a strong injection of Jacksonian values. (How un-San Franciscan is this Daniel?)

But instead, Daniel spends his day doing online marketing by day, and writing by night. And when he’s not doing that, he actively participates in his community by saving cans and recycling whales. (Or is that vice-versa?) When he’s out he is always inappropriately overly dressed, and out to grab a bourbon, good food, good company and do whatever the devil it is that trendy San Francisco hipster youths do for fun these days.
